Interactive Climate Map

Bravo to Vattenfall the Swedish Energy company for being original in creating a climate change map, rather than a traditional operations map.

ENI’s interactive flash share chart

Most share charts Ive come across are pretty dull, however ENI have come up with a fun way to encourage its users to explore the chart’s peaks and troughs throughout the year.

Thinking outside the square, UNIQLO’s ‘TRY’ site

Uniqlo’s Try site takes the user on a lucid dream-like journey through a maze of customers answering sections of a random questionnaire using videos that float in the shape of numbers which are the overall statics for that answers for that question. Not sure whether it really promotes their products to me, but it kept me entertained on the site.

GM’s Navigation

General Motors have decided to try a new way of navigating their coroprate sites. They have designed a splash page with 3 expanding menu buttons that have divided up the content and features on the site in such a way that works for visitors intersted in product information or company info:

  1. Corporate Information
  2. GM Vehicles
  3. Experience GM

DHL goes interactive

DHL is a huge logistics company. What better way for visitors to explore their broad scope across the globe than to have an interactive log book. Its filled with staff stories, video, interactive diagrams showing their processes, and a nicely-designed interactive flash map.

Volkswagen’s interactive car customiser

Volkswagen’s new website shows a very crisp display of flash interaction and customisation, allows the user to create and save their own model spec with different colours, engines etc.

From a design perspective I’d note the interactive object swivel for the product gallery and embedded image of the car ‘driving’ across the screen.
